Line Project

This is the first project I did in my Design Concepts class way back in January but I have not been able to get a photo until now. The idea of this was that we had to invent different lines and connect them in an interesting way. It was fun trying different materials to get different effects and I am especially pleased with the creepy, smoke-like charcoal one and the ones that look like fingers.

This piece has a very long and irritating back story to it. Right after the critique my professor hung onto it because she liked it so much. That I was fine with, I'd just have to wait a while to get a photo of it. A while turned into the rest of the semester and it eventually got into the year end show. I still was not able to get a photo as I wasn't allowed to remove it from the Foundations office except for my review. Fine. Before my review I noticed that it started sagging in the middle and the pins were all fucked up which was blamed on me during my review. Whatever. When it finally got into the show it still looked like shit and was hung sideways
. When I finally went to pick it up, I couldn't find it and I was given the runaround by several people until I was told that the Foundations department "planned on keeping all their stuff until the fall" which I wasn't ever told about at any point ever. I called Foundations and basically said that there was no way I was letting that happen and I needed to get it before then, which brings us to this. I guess I couldn't finish out a semester there without getting jerked around one last time.
